During the Vietnam War Two and a half million military served in country
40,000 were helicopter pilots. The most common helicopter flying missions was the Army UH-1 better known as the Huey.
The Huey's that supported the troops on the ground directly and daily was nicknamed the "Slick". If you flew one you were a "Slick Pilot"
